Join us on a RYA Motor Cruising course in the sun
06 March, 2010 by admin
Why not join us for a Helmsman or Day Skipper course in the sunshine – with fuel at only 0.60EUR per litre?
On the Friday evening you join your Instructor for a welcome drink, before spending the rest of the week visiting ports such as San Sebastian de la Gomera - giving you a chance to see the unspoiled areas of the Canary Islands.
As members of the British Marine Federation and Marine Leisure Association, as well as being inspected by the RYA, you can rest assured that our yachts are maintained to the highest standards and have the protection of the only UK trade association for training, charter and holidays.
Our courses take place on our Carver 356. The this is a similar motor yacht that a lot of other schools do, but with the Club Sail extras our clients have come to expect. We therefore include the following on all our courses: - Transfers from and to Tenerife South airport are included between 10:00 and 19:00 on the Friday – no additional costs or waiting around for a taxi; - Because of our location you have the advantage that you normally arrive in our marina within 20 minutes of collecting your bags; - Your course takes you away from our base marina, giving you the chance to explore the beautiful and unspoilt areas of La Gomera and sometimes Gran Canaria; - Tuition from an experienced Instructor – we do not use instructors who have just qualified; - 6 full days of tuition, and 7 nights accommodation – we understand that you are on holiday and give you time to relax as well as learn; - Freshly laundered sheets, duvets and two towels per person – no sleeping bags with liners or any need to bring your own; - Light weight waterproofs – just in case; - Food and drink on board – including a gin and tonic or a beer after a days sailing; - Two evening meals on board the yacht; - All mooring fees are included. We do not include: diesel, flights, travel insurance or evening meals ashore.
All our boats are commercially registered in Spain and are therefore fully legal to operate in the Canaries and insured according to Spanish law. They also meet both Spanish, and the RYA’s safety standards.
The cost of the course is EUR800 per person, with discounts for booking the complete boat.
